Our Aim: Get Teens Talking!
Being a teenager is tough! More than 400,000 children and young people a month are treated for mental health problems due to societal pressures, school life, social media influences, hormones, family issues, peer pressure, the recent global pandemic and the list goes on!
We want to bridge the gap between ‘it’s ok to talk’ and actually having a safe space to do so!
It can feel awkward and tricky to open up about our thoughts and feelings however connecting with each other through conversations can ease some worries and often prevent them from turning into bigger stresses.
At Chatterbox we feel that it is important that young people know how to connect with others around them and how to reach out to either give or receive support.
Chatterbox encourages and supports young people to connect with each other by facilitating discussions about emotional wellbeing and daily life. Through after school clubs and events in the local community, we hope to provide teens with a safe space to talk whilst participating in fun activities at the same time!
